Majority of Germans wants a compromise between privacy protection and prosecution (02/09/07 13:11 pm)
A German opinion poll conducted by the polling firm Infratest asked citizens for their opinion about online surveillance of their computers.
64% of the participants believe there has to be a legal compromise between the protection of privacy and the abilities of prosecution against crime. 24% think the police gain unlimited possibilities to effectively fight crime. 11% find the protection of privacy more important than the manhunt successes of the police.
